Job Summary
We are hiring a Full-Stack Engineer to help build a highly interactive, creator-focused product combining modern web engineering with AI-powered generation workflows. The ideal candidate will work across frontend experiences, backend services, real-time interactions, and infrastructure to deliver fast, reliable, and intuitive creative tools.
Responsibilities
- Design and build production-quality React and TypeScript interfaces for interactive creative workflows.
- Develop backend services using Node.js or Python supporting real users and production traffic.
- Work with REST APIs, WebSockets, Postgres, Redis, observability, and production monitoring.
- Improve workflow performance through latency optimization, queueing, retries, cancellation, error recovery, and user feedback systems.
- Collaborate within a fast-moving team to build, test, deploy, and improve products.
Requirements
- 3+ years of React and TypeScript product engineering experience with shipped production work.
- Hands-on backend experience with Node.js or Python.
- Experience building complex interactive UI such as editors, canvas tools, node graphs, media tools, or workflow systems.
- Experience with REST APIs, WebSockets, Postgres, Redis, and production debugging.
- Ability to work on-site in San Francisco.
Strong Match Background
- Experience building canvas-based, editor-style, graph-based, or workflow-builder products.
- Experience integrating image, video, audio, or AI generation APIs.
- Experience handling queues, latency, retries, cancellations, and recovery workflows.
- Strong product mindset with the ability to improve user experience.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and shipping frequently.
Bonus Experience
- Real-time or multiplayer systems, WebSockets, CRDTs, collaborative editors, or live shared state.
- Experience with AI-generation tools and creator-focused products.
- Strong understanding of generative AI workflows.
This Role May Not Be a Fit If
- Less than 3 years of hands-on React and TypeScript experience.
- Frontend-only background without backend ownership.
- Experience limited to basic CRUD applications.
- Not comfortable working on-site in San Francisco.
Compensation: $150,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
