Job Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified and board-certified Diagnostic Radiologist to join a growing radiology team in Nevada. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative healthcare environment utilizing advanced diagnostic imaging technologies to support patient diagnosis, treatment planning, and clinical decision-making.

The Diagnostic Radiologist will be responsible for interpreting a broad range of imaging studies, performing image-guided interventional procedures, communicating critical findings to healthcare providers, and ensuring timely and accurate diagnostic reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume imaging environment while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and diagnostic quality.

This role requires a physician who is adaptable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional radiological services while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary medical teams across hospital and outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnostic Imaging & Interpretation

  • Interpret and analyze a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging studies including:
    • X-Ray / Radiography
    • Ultrasound
    • Computed Tomography (CT)
    • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
    • Positron Emission Tomography (PET)
    • Nuclear Medicine Imaging
    • Fluoroscopic Studies
  • Produce clear, concise, and clinically accurate radiology reports with detailed findings and impressions.
  • Correlate imaging findings with laboratory data, patient history, physical examinations, and additional diagnostic studies.
  • Ensure rapid turnaround times for emergency, trauma, and STAT imaging studies.
  • Prioritize workflow efficiently while maintaining diagnostic accuracy and productivity standards.
Interventional & Image-Guided Procedures

Perform a variety of minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic image-guided procedures, including but not limited to:

  • CT-guided biopsies and drainage procedures
  • Ultrasound-guided aspirations and biopsies
  • MRI-guided interventions
  • Fluoroscopic-guided procedures
  • Mammographic and stereotactic biopsies
  • Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA)
  • Vascular access procedures
  • Angiography and catheter-based interventions
Patient Care & Communication

  • Communicate critical and urgent findings promptly to referring physicians and healthcare providers through:
    • Direct physician communication
    • Voice recognition reporting systems
    • Face-to-face consultations
    • Electronic reporting platforms
  • Provide compassionate and professional interactions with patients during imaging and interventional procedures.
  • Assist in explaining procedures, risks, and imaging processes when required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with all HIPAA and patient privacy regulations.
Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to all radiology safety standards, radiation protection protocols, and organizational policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance diagnostic accuracy, workflow efficiency, and patient outcomes.

    • State licensure requirements
    • Continuing Medical Education (CME)
    • Board Certification standards

  • Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning and advancement in radiology technology and best practices.
Required Qualifications

Education & Certification

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) required.
  • Board Certification in Radiology required.
  • Full unrestricted medical licensure required.
  • Ability to maintain active licensure in all states where imaging studies are interpreted.
  • Ongoing CME compliance as required by licensing boards and credentialing bodies.
Experience

  • Prior experience in Diagnostic Radiology required.
  • Experience performing image-guided interventional procedures highly preferred.
  • Experience working in hospital systems, trauma environments, or high-volume imaging centers preferred.
Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with:
    • PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems)
    • RIS (Radiology Information Systems)
    • Voice Recognition (VR) dictation systems
    • Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Strong understanding of advanced imaging modalities and radiologic technologies.

This position is performed in a hospital and diagnostic imaging environment where the physician may regularly encounter:

The work environment requires strict adherence to safety procedures, infection control standards, and radiation safety protocols.

Physical Requirements

The Diagnostic Radiologist must be able to:

  • Sit for extended periods while interpreting imaging studies.
  • Stand frequently during patient procedures and consultations.
  • Walk short distances throughout clinical facilities.
  • Lift, push, pull, or carry up to 25 lbs. when necessary.
  • Demonstrate strong visual acuity, depth perception, and peripheral vision.

This is a remote position.

Compensation: $650,000.00 - $850,000.00 per year
