Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Turret Operator to join our 1/2shift production team. In this role, you will operate a turret punch press machine to cut, shape, and prepare metal components according to machine settings and engineering blueprints. The ideal candidate will have mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor turret punch press machines
- Load, secure, and align sheet metal or plates on the machine table
- Adjust machine settings based on work instructions, charts, and blueprints
- Operate the machine to punch holes and mark layouts as required
- Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and quality standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required protective equipment
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Prior experience operating machinery or working in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, charts, and work instructions
- Strong basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Ability to lift 25–50 lbs regularly (up to 100 lbs with assistance)
- Commitment to following safety guidelines and procedures
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, and lift throughout the shift
- Frequent use of hands, tools, and production machinery
- Handling of metal materials such as sheet metal, aluminum, and stainless steel
- Work performed in high-noise areas requiring hearing and eye protection
Work Schedule
- 1/2 Shift position
- Overtime may be required depending on production demands
